Norwalk police are searching for a man who robbed a hair salon Sunday.

Police say a masked man, who was armed with a gun, walked into the Shear Edge Salon on Belden Avenue and demanded money. Unsuccessful at opening the cash register, the owner of the salon says the suspect took several purses and ran out.

No one was injured but police say they are still sorting out the details of the robbery. Police officials have the surveillance video and the owner says he hopes it will supply a clear description of the robber.
