Police: Stabbing victim refusing to help investigation
Stamford police say a teen boy who was stabbed downtown and then tried to check into the hospital under a fake name is refusing to help in the investigation.
Police say it happened late Monday night in front of the McDonald's on Bedford Street.
They say they only found out about it after the boy showed up to the hospital using a fake name.
Officers say shortly after the stabbing, there was a disturbance at an apartment on High Street and they believe it was retaliation by the victim's family. They say officers were able to bring the situation under control before it got out of hand.
Police say they hope surveillance video from the area will help them get to the bottom of what happened.
