A busy road in Fairfield was shut down Tuesday after a suspicious device was found inside of a vehicle.
Police received a call from a concerned neighbor who saw someone running from the car on Sturges Road.
The Stamford Bomb Squad checked the device and determined there was no threat.
As a precaution, Mill Plain Road was closed between Post and Sturges roads.
