Stamford police are investigating after they say counterfeit money was used at the Stamford Town Center Mall.
Police say they have arrested a woman for passing fake $100 bills.
They say the counterfeiters bleached $1 bills, then reprinted them as $100 bills.
Officers say the bills are difficult to detect because they are printed on real currency paper.
