(07/12/06) GREENWICH ? Witnesses say a tornado tore through Greenwich Thursday, tearing down power lines and trees in the process.
One witness says she looked out her window and saw a funnel cloud tearing its way through Riversville Road. The fallen trees created quite a mess in the area, forcing some residents to exit their cars on the roads and walk home. Crews are on the scene attempting to clear out the fallen trees.
Fortunately, no Greenwich residents were injured in the severe weather. People surveying the aftermath said the storm turned their quaint community into a war zone.
