The power returned Wednesday night for all Eversource customers in Greenwich, a spokesperson for the company says.

Many people in Greenwich had to deal with a second straight day of power outages after officials say heat wreaked havoc on lines and substations.

Officials say overused air conditioners caused power lines to overload and overheat which caused the outages. They also say the humid weather, along with people home from vacation, increased the demand for power.

At one point, Eversource was reporting nearly 10,000 customers without power.
