Power was restored to Eversource customers in the area of Wall Street, according to Norwalk police.

Eversource said over 900 customers were without power for much of the day. That included the Norwalk Library, which was closed.

A spokesman for Eversource said crews and first responders reported to the scene at noon.

They say they needed to pump out several inches of water from an underground vault.
