Volunteers are placing purple ribbons on trees, light poles and storefronts all over Fairfield County to promote Walk to End Alzheimer's events.

It's all to drum up support for the six different events being held this fall.

Money raised from the walks goes toward classes, support groups and critical research for new treatments and hopefully a cure.
