A Stamford couple is among the 12 Americans killed Wednesday in a bus crash in Chile.

Rabbi Daniel Cohen says Ira and Linda Greenfield were killed when their tour bus swerved to avoid an approaching truck and tumbled 300 feet down a mountainside. The couple was on an extension trip during a two-week long cruise.

Rabbi Cohen says the Greenfields were longtime members of his synagogue. He says their relatives are headed down to Chile.
