The Redding Food Pantry is looking for donations as its stock has depleted over the past month.
While donations typically drop during the summer, the need for food does not.
"During the holiday season, it's very full," says Angelica Fontanez, of the Redding Community Center. "Once summer hits, it gets very quiet."
The center usually serves 10 to 20 families of varying sizes a month. Oatmeal and diced fruit are popular items.
Aside from donations, the community center says it also accepts gift cards so people in need can buy their own groceries.
