A new report out this morning suggests that police in Connecticut are more likely to use stun guns on minorities.
The analysis, conducted by Central Connecticut State University, found that officers fired their stun guns at 419 people last year.
When officers threatened to use the weapon against a black person, researchers found that they actually fired 81 percent of the time.
Also, according to the report, when facing off against a Latino, they fired 66 percent of the time. And when threatening a white person, firing rates fell to 60 percent.
Out of every ethnic group, researchers found that Latinos are much more likely to be shot multiple times.
