Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now, also known as NEON, has reportedly filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.
The Norwalk Hour reports NEON officials filed at federal court in Bridgeport last Tuesday.
If approved, the move would allow NEON to clear itself of millions of dollars in debt.
The Hour reports NEON has just under $490,000 in assets, but $4 million in liabilities.
