The Bridgeport Memorial Day parade honored soldiers Monday, but some believe the event was too short.
Parents and children took their seats for the parade that lasted only a few minutes.
"Patriotism is not what it used to be," retired Marine Charlie Penullo said.
While many were upset with the duration of the parade, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said that the parade lasted as long as it always has.
"But you know today is just a day to remember the fallen, and I don't think [we should] get hung up on some of the smaller controversies, but isn't it great that we can have a controversy in a free country like that," Finch said.
