Residents in Bridgeport's North End protested Saturday to call for speed bumps.
Protesters, led by Bridgeport City Councilwoman Michelle Lyons, say a bend in the road on Lourmel Street is a "death trap" when drivers speed down it.
They say there have been five serious accidents in the general area in the past five years, with one of them being fatal.
Residents are calling on city leaders to install speed bumps to discourage fast, reckless driving through their community.
The group is circulating a petition to Mayor Joe Ganim and the City Council.
