Local restaurants are making more deliveries then usual as residents are hunkering down during the season's first storm.
Planet Pizza opened their doors early Sunday and employees say the phone was ringing off the hook because no one wants to face the bad weather.
Areas in the state have seen blankets of snow and rain. The manager at Planet Pizza say deliveries were increased by almost 40% as a result of the weather.
Lucas Rodrigues says even if snow continues throughout the night, the pizzeria will be open Monday no matter the condition.
"It is always an increase when people see snow....," Rodrigues says. "That's what we are here for."
Rain continued overnight in Norwalk as roads remained slippery.
