Darien police say they have made an arrest in connection with a robbery at a jewelry store three years ago.
Police say evidence led them to Richard Garrison, of the Bronx. They say they tied the 27-year-old to the crime in March, but it took several months to track him down.
Back in 2011, three men used sledgehammers to smash the display cases at David Harvey Jewelers on Post Road. They made off with more than $400,000 worth of watches in a stolen car.
Officers eventually found the vehicle and recovered DNA evidence from gloves left inside. They are still searching for the other suspects.
Garrison was arraigned Friday in Stamford. He is being held on $500,000 bond, and is due back in court in two weeks.
