(05/09/06) GREENWICH ? The investigation into the murder of Greenwich real estate developer Andrew Kissel appears to be steadily picking up.
Kissel was found stabbed to death at his rented Greenwich home on April 3. Since that time, police have remained relatively tight-lipped about their investigation. However, several facts are now coming to light about the case. Kissel?s estranged wife, Hayley Wolff Kissel, is reportedly no longer cooperating with police. Investigators have also continued to look at handyman Carlos Trujillo in relation to the murder.
Some believe the list of suspects could be quite lengthy considering Kissel was facing jail time for defrauding investors. Another theory revolves around a hit man-suicide plot in order for Kissel to escape jail time. However, Kissel?s divorce attorney dismisses the suicide theory because his client hadn?t updated his will since 2001. The will names Kissel?s estranged wife as the executrix.
