Saint Vincent's Medical Center has a new owner.
Health care organization Ascension will sell the Bridgeport hospital to Hartford Healthcare.
The company runs four hospitals in Connecticut, including Charlotte Hungerford in Torrington.
Saint Vincent's says the hospital will continue to operate under its founding Catholic principles, meaning certain procedures and services will not be offered.
The sale does not include Saint Vincent's College.
