Parents at a Fairfield school got an encouraging report Monday about a mold-cleanup effort.
A panel of experts met with about 20 parents at Riverfield Elementary School and told them a mold problem in one classroom had been cleaned up.
School officials say they closed the area and relocated kids in early April and then reopened it Monday. They say another area that was reopened at the school, located at 1625 Mill Plain Road, was inside a second-grade classroom.
In both cases, school officials say a parent's complaint prompted the cleanup.
