The second half of Trumbull Day's annual fireworks display has been postponed due to inclement weather, officials say.

Fireworks were pushed to next Saturday.

The town of Trumbull posted a message on their website saying in part, "The fireworks originally scheduled for Sunday night are postponed and rescheduled for Saturday, July 10."

A reading of the Declaration of Independence was held at town hall this morning and the carnival, food trucks, and other events are still slated to take place in the afternoon.
