Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) has returned to southwestern Connecticut after visiting troops in Afghanistan.
Blumenthal says what he most enjoyed about the trip was meeting local soldiers such as Army Sgt. Rose Pharr, who is from Bridgeport.
Even though Blumenthal was the only Democrat in the delegation, he said all five senators spoke with one voice.
