Sen. Richard Blumenthal plans to ask U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions to help Bridgeport battle the growing influx of illegal guns from other states.

According to Blumenthal, Sessions has the power to allocate federal law enforcement dollars to the Bridgeport Police Department.

Blumenthal also says the federal government has the responsibility to enact stronger measures to help cities such as Bridgeport, which are at the mercy of other states.
