Sen. Richard Blumenthal is urging parents to help make sure children in the 12- to 15-year-old age group get vaccinated as quickly as possible.

He says it's important for everyone to get the shot,  but he says vaccinating this one group is a matter of urgent priority.

Blumenthal also says this is quickly becoming the pandemic of the unvaccinated. People infected can transmit the virus even if they don't get sick.
