It was a labor of love for a group of Bridgeport seniors doing their part to support homeless veterans.
They spent the Thursday morning at the Eisenhower Senior Center knitting winter garments -- everything from scarves and hats, to gloves and blankets.
Their creations will be donated to Homes for the Brave, which provides housing and other services to homeless vets.
The seniors said making the winter garments was a heartwarming experience.
