The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of Connecticut through 10 p.m.
Some of the storms could be severe and produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.

News 12 meteorologists say showers will likely be quick, avoiding a washout.
Tuesday night is expected to see a drop in humidity and cooler temperatures in the mid-60s.
Wednesday will be sunny with high temperatures near 79 degrees.
