Severe thunderstorms, damaging winds possible Saturday evening

Around 7 p.m., passing showers and gusty thunderstorms are possible. It will be fast-hitting and short-lasting.

NOW AND NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says there will be a few early showers overnight. Steady rain rolls in around 5 a.m. Saturday. The rain will end around noon with the sun coming out in the afternoon along with warm temperatures well into the 60s. By late day and into the early night hours, scattered thunderstorms will develop with a few of them possibly strong to severe.
NEXT: The front pushes through Saturday night so Sunday will be sunny, brisk and colder. Next week looks milder overall as we head into April with highs in the 50s and 60s most days.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with a few early showers with a steady rain developing by 5 a.m. Low of 47.
SATURDAY: Morning rain, heavy at times will be ending around noon. The sun comes out in the afternoon. By late day and into early Saturday night, scattered thunderstorms likely. Some of them will have heavy rain and gusty winds. It will be windy all day as well. High of 66.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, brisk and cooler. High of 49.
MONDAY: Morning sun with clouds increasing in the afternoon. High of 58.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles or showers. High of 63.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with some showers. High of 61.
