Police are searching for a gunman after two people were shot Saturday evening in Bridgeport.

Police say one man was shot in the hip and the other wounded in the ankle. Both were taken to the hospital after being shot in the 800 block of Howard Avenue about 5 p.m. They were treated and released.

People who live in the Howard Avenue area say the violence there has made crime tape commonplace.

One resident, who would only speak on the condition of anonymity, says she was forced to dodge bullets only a few weeks back.

?Sitting in my car waiting and boom, boom, boom ?,? she says.

Police say they recovered a gun near the scene of the most recent shooting.
