Malls and shopping centers in Jersey City were mobbed with people searching for last-minute gifts before Christmas Saturday.

People tell News 12 New Jersey that while the crowds outside the stores may not be too hard to navigate, it was the lines inside that were the real killer.

Newport Centre will be open until midnight Sunday and until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
