With winter weather barreling toward southwestern Connecticut, road crews in New Canaan are making sure they are prepared for Wednesdays's expected snowfall.
The town's road crews say they're ready to start the engines and lower the plows at the first sign of snow.
Officials at the New Canaan Highway Department say although they're somewhat worried about what tomorrow might bring, they are ready.
Road crews say last year, they had to deal with a total of 75 inches of snow, in comparison to 6 inches so far this year. A coating to about an inch of snow and sleet is expected south of the Merritt Parkway, and one to three inches of snow is expected north of the highway.
