With the growth of the city of Stamford rising rapidly, some city representatives are fighting to temporarily ban building more condominiums and apartments.
The call for a possible ban will be made Wednesday night by local leaders, saying that the area's growth has gotten out of control.
"The parking is terrible," says Ann Wozdusiewicz, a longtime Stamford resident. "I have people over here complaining to me all the time - there's no parking at night."
In response to the rise in living spaces in the city, restaurants and other shops have popped up in large quantities as well.
For those hoping for a ban, its chance seems bleak thanks to a 15-page legal opinion that says a complete stoppage in building would be illegal.
Despite that, the opinion does not draw the line on at least slowing down the building of condos and apartments.
