Stamford lawmakers were asked to weigh in on short-term rentals for tourists through the popular website Airbnb.
A meeting on the matter was held Wednesday at the city's Government Center.
Airbnb says it allows people to "book unique homes and experience a city like a local" at prices that are usually less expensive than nearby hotels.
The meeting came just weeks after debating whether the city of Stamford is building too many apartments for permanent residents.
