Police in Stamford say they have arrested a 60-year-old man in connection with the death of his elderly mother.
Investigators say the incident happened on Sylvan Knoll Road yesterday afternoon.
Neighbors say the victim was a woman in her mid-80s who was living with her son. They also say they saw first-responders carry a man out of the home on a stretcher.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the woman's death as a murder.
