? Stamford police are on the lookout for retaliation attacks after violence erupted at the wake of a teenager who was shot and killed. That teen was laid to rest Saturday.
At least 100 people gathered in the streets outside a funeral home while 19-year-old Flanegaine Joseph?s wake was held Friday. People in the group yelled at officers while others told a News 12 Connecticut crew to leave. Several people broke car and storefront windows. Residents expressed concern over the scuffles, saying they hope they never have to clean up after another violent outburst.
Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy says he is trying to handle the disruption as best as he can, but many young people are upset over the teen?s death.
Police are investigating whether Joseph?s shooting death last weekend was gang related.
