(03/16/06) STAMFORD ? Stamford police say they?ve arrested a man Thursday for last week?s gang-related shooting in front of a West Main Street KFC.
According to police, 33-year-old James Collins has been charged with criminal attempt at murder and first-degree assault. Authorities say Collins is a member of the Bloods street gang. He stands accused of shooting a 23-year-old victim several times in what police believe was retaliation for a previous incident.
Police say Collins is a convicted felon with a violent past. The suspect will be arraigned Thursday and is being held on $250,000 bond.
