Steep gas prices may rattle Easter weekend travelers
As Southwestern Connecticut drivers hit the road for Easter weekend, they may be shocked by gas prices that continue to rise.
Gas costs could surpass $3 per gallon in the upcoming weeks, according to Peter Beutel of the energy analysis firm Cameron Hanover. He said prices will continue to rise before May, and then level off mid-year. Beutel attributes the prices to interruptions at refineries and high demand in the first quarter of the year.
The prices may continue to take a toll on customers? wallets, but whether they will be a deterrent to traveling this weekend, remains to be seen.
