Heavy downpours, some flash flooding possible in Connecticut

Areas of heavy rain will come through the region with light rain showers, and will have periods of downpours into the overnight and early morning hours on Monday.

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says a flood watch is effect for western Connecticut until 6 a.m. Monday.
Expect heavy rainfall tonight into Monday before the wet weather tapers off around 6 a.m.
OVERNIGHT: Rain lingers into the morning, heavy at times. Flooding is possible. Lows around 70.
MONDAY: Showers and thundershowers possible. Highs near 80.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny, warm and humid - with the chance of a spotty thunderstorm. Highs approaching 90.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny, hazy, hot and humid. Highs around 90.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with a thunderstorm possible. Highs approaching 90.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a thunderstorm possible. Highs in the 80s.
NEXT WEEKEND: Warm, humid, with the chance of sunshine and storms. Highs in the 80s.
