Two men are in the hospital after they were shot inside a Melrose apartment complex, according to police. 

It happened inside the lobby of the Melrose Houses around 1:45 a.m. today.

Police say a 28-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were both shot. 

They say the younger man was shot in the left leg, and was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he is listed in stable condition and expected to be OK. Police say the 36-year-old man was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. 

Officials blocked off a section of 156th Street during their investigation.

They did not say if any suspects have been arrested.
