4 years after tragedy, crash victim Jaslyn Gonzalez memorialized

Four years after a tragic accident, a local parish has come together to remember a family who lost seven of its members.

Jaslyn Gonzalez lost her life on April 29, 2012. She was one of seven victims in a minivan that plunged from the Bronx River Parkway into a remote wooded area of the Bronx Zoo after striking a median.

Jaslyn, one of three children in the car, would have been graduating from eighth grade this year. Her classmates helped organize a memorial Mass for her at St. Raymond's Church in the Bronx on Friday.

The pastor dedicated his homily to dealing with the difficult things in life, and how those who loved Jaslyn must pray, remember, and love one another in her memory.
