Borough pride on display at Bronx Week 2016

Local pride and the best of the borough are on display at Bronx Week 2016, which includes events from Riverdale to Throgs Neck.

The Savor the Bronx Breweries and Distilleries Trolley Tour is today until 6 p.m. The tour is meant to highlight craft beverages that the Bronx has to offer.

Other Bronx Week events include the Centenarian Celebration, Bronx Food and Farm Trolley Tour and the Bronx Ball.

The 11-day festival ends May 15 with the induction of "Sopranos" actor Vincent Pastore, Ballet Hispanico Artistic Director and CEO Eduardo Vilaro, "Finding Nemo" Pixar artist Peter Sohn and "Just Kids From the Bronx" author and photographer Arlene Alda into the Bronx Walk of Fame on the Grand Concourse.

Bronx Week, which is decades old, is organized by the Bronx borough president's office, Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation and Bronx Tourism Council.
