Police release photos of 2 men accused in fatal shooting on Baychester Ave.

Police have released photos of two men accused of fatally shooting a man and injuring another in the Bronx last week.

Police say 55-year-old Lionel Samuel was shot in the torso and a 54-year-old man was shot in the leg in front of Bronx Alliance Middle School at Baychester and Schieffelin avenues around 6 a.m. on May 27.

Police believe that the victims crashed their car into a tree more than a mile away on Bronx Boulevard while they were trying to drive to Montefiore Hospital.

According to police, the men who shot them have been identified as Johnathan Jay, also known as "Platinum," and Sheldon Edmond, also known as "Slim." They say both men were seen fleeing the area in a white Nissan Altima with a New York license plate of HFB7171.

Anyone with information about the men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
