Students paint tables to raise social issues
A group of Bronx students brushed up a campaign against gun violence, child abuse and drugs Tuesday.
The students, from Community School 211X and New Venture Academy 219X, painted tables at Tremont and Crotona parks.
They say the problems, which are social issues in their own neighborhoods, plague the world as a whole.
The LeAp public arts program and the city's Parks Department sponsored the students for the ninth-straight year.
