A project bringing together birds and musical instruments is adding sweet sounds to the air.
The Inside the Bird Chorus project is part of the 10th annual Make Music New York event taking place in all five New York City boroughs.
Improvising human musicians and the native birds of New York City are brought together at Wave Hill to perform.
Organizers say Inside the Bird Chorus is one of many events happening across the city and country for Make Music Day and that the start of summer is a perfect time for it.
"We are in this incredible location in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and surrounded by nature, and it's really a rare opportunity," says Jennifer McGregor, director of arts.
Another Make Music New York event, a mobile recording studio, was held outside the Andrew Freeman Home on the Grand Concourse Tuesday.
