Investigators say two people went into the Kay Jewelers on Baychester Avenue around 3 p.m. on June 9 and asked to try on a necklace.

News 12 is told the man tried it on, then handed it to the woman. Police say the woman handed the store worker a different piece of jewelry in return.

When the two people were searched by store security, the necklace was not found.
