Hearing held in Hartford on future of tech schools
Parents, students and residents gathered in Hartford to discuss the future of Connecticut's 16 state-run technical high schools.
The hearing was put together by a task force organized to evaluate the technical school system and recommend any changes.
Some parents pleaded with lawmakers to better fund the schools, saying they provide students with good options.
Speakers also voiced their support for funding Wright Tech in Stamford. The school closed in 2009 due to budget cuts, and is expected to reopen in 2014.
