Greenwich priest admits to stealing from church
A former Greenwich priest pleaded guilty yesterday to charges he lied about using hundreds of thousands of dollars in church funds to pay credit card bills.
Michael Moynihan resigned as pastor of St. Michael Church in 2007.
Federal prosecutors say he lied to FBI agents about forging a signature and provided false information to church accountants.
He faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
