Milford dentist buys back candy to send to troops

A Milford dentist is offering trick-or-treaters a chance to turn their candy into cash.

Sensitive Care Dentistry in Milford is offering kids a dollar for every pound of candy they donate. The collection of sweets will be sent to U.S. troops through Operation Gratitude, which sends care packages overseas.

Those who donate their candy are also encouraged to include a picture or a thank you card.

The office has been doing this for the past six years and says they typically collect more than 100 pounds of candy.

The candy buy back starts Tuesday.
