State officials say the daughter of Norwalk Mayor Harry Riling voluntarily surrendered her day care license following the death of a child in her care.

A 4-month-old girl died last month after becoming unresponsive at the home day care of Christine Limone.

State police are investigating the death. No charges have been filed.



A hearing on Limone's license was scheduled for today, but state officials say they canceled it after she surrendered the license last week. They say Limone may reapply for a reinstatement any time.
