Family and friends are mourning a Joel Barlow football coach and local business owner who succumbed to cancer.
Jordan Wright, 40, died early Friday morning. He had been diagnosed with bone cancer 10 years ago.
Joel Barlow High School Athletic Director Mike Santangeli said Wright went through many surgeries to fight the disease. Wright was the freshman football coach at Joel Barlow High School for eight years, as well as the owner of Redding Ridge Market and Deli and the Redding Roadhouse Restaurant.
"This town will never be the same now that Jordan's not here," Santangeli said.
A memorial service will be held for Wright in the high school auditorium at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Wright leaves behind his wife and baby daughter.
