Police: 1 suspect in custody, 1 sought after Bridgeport home invasion

Bridgeport police say they have one suspect in custody and are searching for a second after a home invasion.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday on Seaview Avenue.

Police say the suspects broke into the home and tied up the victims inside. They say someone called 911, but the call got disconnected.

Officers say that they were near the home at the time of the incident and that the first-arriving officers actually interrupted the robbery. Police say they caught one suspect after the two fled. Authorities are still looking for the other.

Police do not believe the suspects got away with anything.

Police also say they believe the home was targeted and that random home invasions are rare.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
