Police: Norwalk teen arrested for firing shots

Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly opening fire on Woodward Avenue in Norwalk last night.

Investigators say the suspect, Jonas Labaze, fired eight shots with a small handgun at around 7:30 last night. One shot hit a car with a child inside.

Police say witnesses identified the teen at the scene, where he was arrested.

The gun Labaze used has not been recovered and his motive was unknown, police say. To watch extended footage from Norwalk, click on iO Extra on Channel 612.
